Eclipsica was formed in 2016 when Marky Midnite (drums) responded to an ad that Danny Stone (vocals) had posted in search of bandmates to jam with in the Long Beach area. Impressed by Danny’s vocals, Marky brought long-time co-collaborator Ashton Cruz (guitar) along, and the trio instantly knew that they were destined for greatness after their first “Jam Session”, produced most of what is now the song “Bombs Away”. After recording and releasing their debut EP, Transcend, the band solidified their line-up by enlisting guitarist Vik Sunday & Manson Brown.
The Transcend EP was recorded at Buzz Bomb Studios in Orange, California, as well as Love Juice Laboratories in Riverside, California. Working with producer and sound engineer Paul Miner (former bassist of Death By Stereo) and the Buzz Bomb team, the band laid down the instrumental tracks for Transcend, while vocals were handled by Dave Swanson and the crew at Love Juice Labs, whose credits include work with As I Lay Dying, Saosin, Panic at the Disco, and many other artists well known to LA’s thriving rock scene. Transcend was then polished by Gold Record Winner Joey Sturgis, whose recent work with top-notch rockers like Blessthefall and Asking Alexandria attracted the band to his talents in mixing and mastering.
Proud of their work on the EP and eager to get their sound out to more hard rock fans, Eclipsica has released a music video for the song “Reflections,” and looks forward to playing many shows in anticipation of a west coast tour this summer.
As of April 2019, Eclipsica is currently wrapping up production on NEW SONGS! Recorded in fullerton CA with Jay Stolo and being mixed and mastered by Taylor Larson, they will be available for your listening pleasure, September 2019 !!
